Bemerkung

The CR 400 DS (Deck Saloon) is a highly regarded, Swedish-built bluewater performance cruiser crafted at Orust, Sweden. Known for its excellent sailing capabilities and bright, raised-saloon layout, it blends offshore safety with cozy, protected pilothouse-style comfort.

The interior features high-quality woodwork. The boat is equipped with dual-station throttle and gear controls (inside and outside). Interior steering is managed via autopilot (direct rudder control or heading mode).

The boat features a lead keel of approximately 3.5 tons, accounting for a solid 42% of the total displacement. The deckhouse is fitted with double-glazed tempered glass set in a continuous steel frame. No damage history.

The yacht is easily handled shorthanded. It has a two-cabin layout and has been continuously upgraded during my ownership.

The sails are from 2013; the Genoa was serviced by With Marine in Oslo in the winter of 24/25, and the mainsail was serviced by Gran Seil (Oslo) in the winter of 25/26. There also is a spinnaker.

The teak deck was 12 mm when new and is currently about 8–9 mm thick. Estimated remaining lifespan is 15–20 years with proper maintenance. For comparison, most modern "production yachts" are typically delivered with 6 mm teak decks.

I have contracts and sales history dating back to when the boat was new. The boat must be inspected and purchased in Bodø, Norway. However I am happy to assist in sailing it to the buyer’s destination of choice. Also, what better way to start a new ownership than to experience the beautiful Norwegian cost.

Recent upgrades:
New original anchor windlass with remote control and secondary control station inside (2024)

Lithium battery (170Ah) with Bluetooth and internal heating (2025)
DAB Radio (2025) with speakers in the saloon and cockpit
