Jade is a 1989 Taswell 49 currently located in Green Cove Springs, FL. She is the only Taswell 49 presently available on the U.S. East Coast. Along with the features and stock equipment this Bill Dixon–designed blue water pedigree includes, there is a long list of recent updates.
Taswell 49s have long been regarded as premium blue water cruisers. These boats, in the right conditions, are capable of delivering 200-mile days offshore. Their Scheel keel and ICW-friendly mast make the Bahamas and U.S. East Coast more accessible. One hundred twenty-five gallons of fuel and 200 gallons of freshwater represent range and tankage you will not find on modern production boats. Ta Shing-quality interior joinery is something no longer found in modern boats. This broker is also a Taswell 49 owner and has already sold two other Taswell 49s in 2026; these boats do not stay on the market long.
Jade is a unique example as she has the rare two-cabin layout. This layout results in larger, more luxurious sleeping cabins as well as additional storage options. Full-time cruisers will appreciate her separate showers in both heads as well as the monstrous refrigerator and freezer capacities.
