Lagoon 42 – 2019 | Who Will Take the Helm? We purchased our Lagoon 42 in 2021 and have since truly made her our own while sailing the beautiful waters of Greece. Already generously equipped, we further upgraded her to be fully capable of long-distance passages. In 2023, we installed a Victron Multiplus II 3kVA inverter, fitted two new propellers, and added a Jura E8 coffee machine—because great sailing deserves great cappuccino. The galley is fully equipped, featuring two refrigerators, one freezer, and an electric boiler, ensuring maximum comfort on board. In 2024, we enhanced her navigation and safety systems with a B&G Halo+ radar, a Lalizas Lifelink MOB Danbuoy with joon, and an Em-Trak B953 AIS receiver. All running rigging was replaced with Dyneema lines, and she was further upgraded with Starlink connectivity and a Parasailor made from reinforced fabric, adding both performance and enjoyment under sail. Beyond these upgrades, she has been meticulously maintained every year. The Yanmar 57HP diesel engines and the 8kVA generator have received annual servicing, and she has been consistently treated with fresh antifouling. In 2025, the watermaker was fully overhauled and fitted with a new high-pressure pump, the anchor windlass was serviced, and the anchor chain replaced with a stainless steel chain. In 2026, we replaced the trampoline net, renewed both starter batteries and service batteries (now upgraded to two Victron Energy AGM 220Ah batteries), and had the sails professionally serviced by a sailmaker. In 2024, we sailed from Greece to Las Palmas and crossed the Atlantic with the ARC rally, gaining invaluable bluewater experience. One of the four cabins (starboard forward) has been thoughtfully converted into a storage and workshop space for provisions, spare parts, and tools—ideal for extended cruising. The Caribbean has proven to be an exceptional sailing destination. Comfort on board is outstanding, with air conditioning in the saloon (a true luxury while cooking) and electric toilets for added convenience at sea. Sailing her is effortless thanks to the full-batten mainsail, furling genoa, and electric winch. Navigation is fully supported by a B&G GPS plotter, autopilot, and comprehensive charts and pilot books. Now, the time has come for us to hand over the helm to a new owner—someone ready to continue her journey and enjoy the Caribbean to the fullest. Asking price excludes VAT. Handover in the Caribbean by mutual agreement.
