Funcat 44 – Fast, Lightweight Bluewater Catamaran for Circumnavigators
The Funcat 44 Bella Ciao is a purpose-built cruising catamaran designed without compromise for long-distance sailing. Slender hulls, deep daggerboards and a powerful sail plan provide excellent upwind and downwind performance. The epoxy fiberglass sandwich construction ensures high structural stiffness at low weight.
At anchor or in harbor, Bella Ciao offers generous living comfort with true apartment-level quality. Designed by experienced catamaran designers and built for safety, performance and durability – ideal for demanding sailors with bluewater ambitions.
The Funcat 44 is built using epoxy fiberglass composite construction. The hulls feature an 18 mm red cedar core laminated on the outside with multiple layers of fiberglass (unidirectional, diagonal and biaxial) in epoxy resin, and on the inside with additional diagonally laid fiberglass layers. The underwater sections are further reinforced.
Decks, superstructure and bridgedeck are constructed with Divinycell PVC foam cores and multi-layer fiberglass epoxy laminates; all Divinycell components are vacuum-bagged. The three crossbeams (aft beam, mast beam and forward beam) are built as high-strength box structures and heavily reinforced in their lower sections to ensure maximum rigidity.
Highly loaded areas such as chainplate attachments, mast step, rudder bearings and engine mounts are additionally reinforced. Daggerboards, daggerboard cases, rudders and mini keels are made from solid fiberglass epoxy.
All surfaces are faired with epoxy filler, coated externally with a 200-micron epoxy barrier layer and finished with a two-component polyurethane paint system. Below the waterline, a multi-layer Coppercoat antifouling system has been applied.
The sale is exclusively for health reasons. The vessel is sold from company ownership. Invoicing under the margin taxation scheme according to §25a UStG (German VAT law) is possible. You are welcome to submit your price proposal.

Conçu par des designers expérimentés de catamarans et construit pour la sécurité, la performance et la longévité – idéal pour des navigateurs exigeants avec des ambitions de navigation hauturière.
Le Funcat 44 est construit en composite fibre de verre / époxy. Les coques possèdent un noyau en cèdre rouge de 18 mm, stratifié à l’extérieur avec plusieurs couches de fibre de verre (unidirectionnelle, diagonale et biaxiale) imprégnées de résine époxy, et à l’intérieur avec des couches supplémentaires de fibre de verre posées en diagonale. Les zones sous la ligne de flottaison sont renforcées.
Les ponts, superstructures et le bridgedeck sont réalisés avec des noyaux en mousse PVC Divinycell et des stratifiés époxy-fibre de verre multicouches ; tous les éléments en Divinycell sont mis sous vide lors de la stratification. Les trois traverses (poutre arrière, poutre de mât et poutre avant) sont construites comme des structures caisson à haute résistance et fortement renforcées dans leur partie inférieure afin d’assurer une rigidité maximale.
Les zones fortement sollicitées telles que les fixations de haubans, le pied de mât, les paliers de gouvernail et les supports moteur sont renforcées. Les dérives, les puits de dérive, les safrans et les mini-quilles sont réalisés en fibre de verre époxy massive.
Les surfaces sont égalisées avec un enduit époxy, revêtues à l’extérieur d’une barrière époxy de 200 microns, puis peintes avec un système de peinture polyuréthane bi-composant. Sous la ligne de flottaison, un système antifouling Coppercoat multicouche a été appliqué.
La vente a lieu exclusivement pour raisons de santé. Le bateau est vendu depuis le patrimoine d’une entreprise. Facturation possible selon le régime de taxation sur la marge conformément au §25a UStG (TVA allemande). Vous pouvez volontiers soumettre votre proposition de prix.

Die Funcat 44 Bella Ciao ist ein kompromisslos konstruierter Fahrtenkatamaran für lange Distanzen. Entwickelt von erfahrenen Katamaran-Designern und gebaut für Sicherheit, Performance und Langlebigkeit – ideal für anspruchsvolle Segler mit Blauwasserambitionen. Die Funcat 44 besteht aus Epoxid-Glasfaser-Verbundbauweise. Die Rümpfe haben einen 18 mm starken Kern aus roter Zeder, außen laminiert mit mehreren Lagen Glasfaser (unidirektional, diagonal und rechtwinklig) in Epoxidharz, innen mit zusätzlichen diagonal gelegten Glasfaserschichten. Der Unterwasserbereich ist zusätzlich verstärkt. Decks, Aufbauten und Bridgedeck bestehen aus Divinycell-PVC-Schaumkernen mit mehrlagiger Glasfaser-Epoxid-Laminierung, alle Divinycell-Bauteile vakuumverpresst. Die drei Querträger (Heck-, Mast- und Bugträger) sind als hochfeste Boxkonstruktionen ausgeführt und im unteren Bereich massiv verstärkt, um maximale Steifigkeit zu gewährleisten. Hochbelastete Bereiche wie Wantenanschläge, Mastfuß, Ruderlager und Motoraufnahmen sind zusätzlich verstärkt. Steckschwerter, Schwertkästen, Ruder und Minikiele bestehen aus Vollglas-Epoxid. Die Oberflächen sind mit Epoxid-Füller geglättet, außen mit einer 200-Mikron-Epoxidbeschichtung versehen und anschließend mit einem zweikomponentigen Polyurethan-Lacksystem lackiert. Unter Wasser ist ein mehrlagiger Coppercoat-Antifouling-Auftrag ausgeführt.

La construcción tipo sándwich en fibra de vidrio con resina epoxi garantiza una gran rigidez estructural con un peso reducido.
Fondeado o en puerto, Bella Ciao ofrece un amplio confort a bordo con auténtica calidad de apartamento. Diseñado por experimentados diseñadores de catamaranes y construido para seguridad, rendimiento y durabilidad, es ideal para navegantes exigentes con ambiciones de navegación oceánica.
El Funcat 44 está construido en composite de fibra de vidrio y resina epoxi. Los cascos cuentan con un núcleo de cedro rojo de 18 mm, laminado en el exterior con varias capas de fibra de vidrio (unidireccional, diagonal y biaxial) con resina epoxi, y en el interior con capas adicionales de fibra de vidrio colocadas en diagonal. La zona bajo la línea de flotación está adicionalmente reforzada.
Las cubiertas, superestructura y el bridgedeck están construidos con núcleos de espuma PVC Divinycell y laminados multicapa de fibra de vidrio con epoxi; todos los componentes de Divinycell han sido laminados al vacío. Las tres vigas transversales (viga de popa, viga del mástil y viga de proa) están diseñadas como estructuras tipo cajón de alta resistencia y reforzadas masivamente en su parte inferior para garantizar la máxima rigidez.
Las zonas sometidas a grandes cargas, como los anclajes de los obenques, el pie de mástil, los cojinetes de los timones y los soportes del motor, están adicionalmente reforzadas. Las orzas, cajas de orza, timones y mini quillas están fabricados en fibra de vidrio maciza con resina epoxi.
Las superficies están alisadas con masilla epoxi, recubiertas exteriormente con una capa barrera de epoxi de 200 micras y posteriormente pintadas con un sistema de pintura de poliuretano bicomponente. Bajo la línea de flotación se ha aplicado un sistema antifouling Coppercoat multicapa.
