‘Annya of Christchurch’ is a GRP centre cockpit yacht built in Holland to a very high specification - the same quality as better known craft like Halberg-Rassey and Njiad. Designed by Franz Maas, she is a very solid, seaworthy and safe craft with 2.2 metre standing headroom throughout and is rated as a category A ocean going craft for 5 persons, she is a very roomy craft feeling much bigger than her length suggests.
The centre cockpit configuration coupled with a furling head sail and in-mast furling main sail with all lines leading back to the security of the cockpit means she can confidently be sailed by a small crew in very challenging conditions with scarcely a splash of water ever coming on board
Fully equipped with everything needed to set sail tomorrow, in 2025 we installed the latest top of the range Raytheon navigation equipment and doppler radar together with a new DSC VHF radio with integrated Class B AIS transceiver. Over the 2024/25 winter our engineer has replaced the main sail drive hull seal, overhauled the sail drive unit and completed various work on the engine including replacing all the engine mounts. This past winter he serviced the engine and sail drive.
With her dark blue hull and teak deck she is a classically beautiful yacht drawing complements and interest wherever we dock. We have been part owners since 2011 and purchased the remaining share in 2016, however I have sailed her since her launch in 2001. Sadly my wife and I have reached an age where medical issues prevent us being able to enjoy her to the full so she must sail away and give new owners the pleasure she has given us.
Annya of Christchurch benefits from a Greek Permanent Transit Log allowing her to be sailed throughout Greek waters without having to report to the Port Police and go through her paperwork at every stop.
