Well-maintained Morgan 41 Classic, built by Catalina in 1990, EU VAT paid and already located in the Mediterranean at Laghi di Sibari, Calabria, Italy.
This is a spacious center-cockpit cruising yacht, especially suitable for living aboard or spending longer periods on board. She offers two cabins, two heads, copious 1.95+ m headroom (rare in boats), a warm teak interior, a large U-shaped galley, generous storage, 820 litres freshwater capacity, 321 litres fuel capacity, and a Paguro 3 kW diesel generator.
The engine is a Yanmar 4JHBE diesel, 44 hp, with approximately 4,060 hours. The boat has shaft drive, a 3-blade propeller, and cruises at about 6 knots. Navigation equipment includes Raymarine chartplotter with sonar, Raymarine wind instrument, Raymarine ST6002 autopilot with linear drive, VHF, handheld VHF, compass and AIS receiver.
A significant amount of work was carried out in 2024. The underwater hull was stripped and inspected, with no meaningful osmosis found. A multi-layer protection system was applied, including barrier coatings, primers and antifouling. The rudder was rebuilt, the skeg was reinforced, anodes were renewed, the propeller was treated and the stuffing box packing was replaced. The topsides were also repainted, and several practical improvements were made, including new batteries, water pressure pump, toilet work, additional DC sockets, LED lighting, hatch covers and mattress underlays.
The boat comes with useful cruising and liveaboard equipment, including electric windlass, CQR anchor with 70 m chain, Fortress spare anchor, Raymarine electronics, dinghy, cockpit cushions, hatch covers, fridge, freezer, gas stove and oven.
For transparency, there are some remaining age-related items. The standing rigging is original and should be professionally inspected before offshore use. A replacement mainsail is included and can be used as a loose-footed mainsail, without using the foot bolt rope in the boom groove. Some hatch and seal work is still recommended. The holding tank pumps are not working. The Honda 2.3 hp outboard was not working at the last check.
The boat is currently on the hard, which makes inspection easier. Survey welcome. Sensible offers considered.
