Give Sea 37 Ketch – “Philou” (1976)The Gib Sea 37 Ketch "Philou"is a classic and seaworthy touring yacht, designed by Michel Joubert. This solidly built polyester sailing yacht is state-of-the-art with practical features, a comfortable hull, and a practical ketch rig. Thanks to the sail plan layout, the ship handled well, had good trim, and sailed beautifully, even with a small crew.
At 11.70 mlong and 3.80 mwide,it offers a spacious and functional interior. The vessel is equipped with two cabins and five large sleeping areas (sleeping up to seven) , with approximately 1.80 mof headroomin the living room. The galley was modernized in 2017, and the interior was renovated in 2002.Heating via an Eberspächer D4 systemensures comfort on board, both for the nose and feet.
The Yanmar 4JH3 diesel engine (2002)delivers approximately 40 hpand has a power output of 1650 hp. The main engine will be ready in 2021. New Ullman Navigator Dacron lines(mainsail, mizzen and genoa)are also available. The tuning will take place in 2022.The navigation equipment includes Raymarine instruments (depth, wind and autopilot)and a Furuno GPS.
The Philou has a wonderful legacy: the ship is now in the family's possession from the mid-1990sand was passed down from father to son in 2021.In its open decade, the ship has sailed across the North Sea to Belgium, France, and England,and has recently been used on the Grevelingen and Oosterschelde estuaries. The reputation of this type of ship has been established by the sea.
Points of interestAs is appropriate for a classic chip of the same age, grandchildren's points are also devotional questions.
