In immaculate condition. Lovingly cared for and improved by its present (second) owner, this J80 (Race Sail Number 944) is currently berthed for a very reasonable fee at one of the best marinas on the Costa Blanca but is registered in the UK.
Not the usual regatta boat as the craft has never been near a racecourse for at least the past ten years of its life. It has been enjoyed as a pleasure craft by its present owner for his six years of ownership but could still be used as a one-design sailboat. The previous (first) owner was a lawyer who never registered the boat and kept it in dry dock so it never saw the water during his final five years of ownership. Lots of high value extras are included above the base racing yacht specification making this a rare opportunity to acquire such a fine example that is an absolute joy to sail.
Accommodation: •Sleeping for one crew which could easily be extended to two. The addition of a cockpit tent (not included) would allow this to be extended further. •Dometic fridge/freezer built into step. •USB charging socket.
External: •Copper coat hull bottom. •Spinlock mainsail feeder. •Boom vang system. •Standing rigging (replaced 26 November 2021). •Black carbon mainsail (new 2022). •Black North Sails jib (replaced 2019). •Jib and mainsail covers (new 2021). •Torqeedo electric outboard motor (new 2019). •Several sails dating from 2007 plus an ExLight spinnaker (unused). •Plough-type anchor, chain and warp. •Fenders and several life jackets including one tow back.
Instrumentation/Navigation: •Raymarine tiller autopilot. •B&G Zeus chart plotter with Android/iOS mirroring. •Navionics for Spain and The Balearics. •Garmin wireless wind instrument. •NMEA 2000 interconnection. •Shoot-through depth sounder (no holes in hull to compromise integrity). •Two handheld VHF radios. •Versatile boat setup for either single-handed sailing including spinnaker launch and retrieve or a full crew of up to six. •Lithium-ion battery for outboard propulsion and onboard systems which is charged totally off-grid by a solar panel which can be stowed neatly in the cabin when underway for a truly wallet and environmentally friendly sailing experience. •Victron solar charge control unit which includes monitoring via a mobile app.
