At the end of July, Danish waters once again became the stage for numerous sailing cultural assets. Unlike in this country, the northern neighbours regard their former professional vessels as maritime heritage and support the preservation of the fleet. The annual highlight is a tour through the harbour towns of Funen, where the classics are greeted and admired by thousands of sailors. There are several events for classic and traditional sailing boats throughout the Baltic Sea region. These are often a real spectacle for visitors and allow everyone to experience this unique world. The magic that classic yachts exude is almost nowhere as tangible as at their numerous meetings, whether regattas, festivals or squadron cruises. However, many people are unaware that you can also sign on to such historic ships and experience unforgettable cruises. This includes the 108-year-old "Belle Amie", which has a history as a sailing lugger. The traditional sailing ship is now even an official ambassador for the city of Glückstadt and is moored in its home harbour during the winter months. However, the base for the summer Baltic Sea cruises is the museum harbour in Flensburg. Numerous sailing trips of various types and lengths are offered on the Baltic Sea. In the medium term, the owner family can also imagine transporting cargo in Europe that has been sailed across the Atlantic by other ships.
