J Composites

J/45

The J/45, which originates from the USA, is focussed on the needs of the European market. That's why the boat is built exclusively by J Composites in France, J/Boats' licence production facility in Europe. As a fast performance cruiser, the J/45 impresses in the YACHT test with its excellent sailing characteristics. In addition, the practical cockpit layout, which is suitable for both regatta and family sailors, is very appealing. The interior has an open, bright design and shines with plenty of living comfort.

Jeanneau

Jeanneau Yachts 55

Perhaps one of the most eye-catching boats at the trade fair: The shipyard has a new, super-exciting 55-footer for the upmarket yacht programme. The innovative cockpit layout stands out from the crowd. The two helm stations are built far forward, freeing up the aft section for two very generously arranged lounge areas, which can be transformed into huge sun loungers thanks to lowerable tables. A further seating area and a kind of external navigation system are located further forward in the actual cockpit, which is completely covered by a semi-fixed dodger. The layout below deck is also interesting. Aft, two double cabins, each with its own toilet room, are completely separated from the saloon. These areas are directly accessible from the cockpit via separate companionways. The Jeanneau Yachts 55 is being celebrated as a world premiere in Düsseldorf.

Melges

Melges 15

The smallest boat in the sporty series from the USA is a modern dinghy that glides smoothly, but with a closed stern. A trapeze has been dispensed with. The boat, which is not covered at the front, is equipped with a single-line gennaker system that simultaneously extends the bowsprit and sets the cloth. As shown in the YACHT test (issue 3/2023, from 18 January), the boat sails stiffly and safely and offers easily accessible sailing fun.

Nautor's Swan

Swan 55

Hardly any other brand is as synonymous with upmarket yacht building, perfectly shaped designs and exclusive quality as Nautor Swan. With the new Swan 55, the yacht manufacturer in Finland, under its Italian management, has once again built a relatively small boat by its standards. An exciting highlight on the deck of Germán Frers' design is the spectacular, foldable stern platform, which transforms the bathing platform into a kind of beach club with sun loungers. Another special feature is the high degree of versatility with which the Swan can be customised to the owner's wishes, as well as the options for a wide variety of interior styles.

Neo Yacht

Neo 570 C

She is a kind of TP52, but with an additional cosy interior. The C in the type designation stands not only for carbon (the boat is built entirely from carbon fibre), but also for Carkeek Design, Neo Yachts' design partner for this project. The exciting Neo 570 C will undoubtedly be one of the big crowd-pullers at the show. The almost futuristic-looking interior is also fascinating.

Nordship Yachts

Nordship 420 DS

The Danish manufacturer has perfected a rare spatial concept and demonstrates this with the new Nordship 420 DS: the raised seating area in the saloon provides a panoramic view. There is also a smaller evening saloon in the passageway to the central aft cabin. The 420 DS is also characterised by high quality craftsmanship, individual fittings, high performance potential and good handling.

Oyster 595

No longer dewy, but new on the Rhine and well worth seeing: the English luxury manufacturer is launching its 595, a paragon of outstanding quality, maritime luxury and sailing quality. The mid-cockpit yacht with the high superstructure continues to impress with its tasteful ambience and over-complete equipment, see also YACHT test in issue 2/2020.

Preste Yachts

Preste 18

The market enrichment for the small pleasure craft class comes from Poland. The Preste 18 has a lifting keel with an 80-kilogram ballast bomb. The small vessel can be launched and retrieved from the water like a dinghy on a slip trolley via the ramp. The 30 square metre gennaker on the extendable bowsprit ensures sporty sailing characteristics.

RM Yachts

RM 1380

Since spring 2020, the RM Yachts/Fora Marine shipyard has been part of the Grand Large Yachting group, together with the Allures, Outremer, Garcia and Gunboat brands. The company in La Rochelle is now launching a market offensive with a completely newly developed flagship. The RM 1380 was presented as a world premiere at the trade fair in Paris at the beginning of December and has now also found its way to Düsseldorf. The typical and special brand DNA is of course also retained in the new boat. The hull is made of plywood in a buckling frame, the deck is made of GRP. The design for the sporty blue water cruiser comes from the studio of Marc Lombard. The boat is available with a fixed keel, bi-keels or a hydraulic swivelling keel on request. Three or four cabins are possible.

Saare Yachts

Saare 41.2

Spurred on by the success of the Saare 38.2 ( here in the YACHT test ), which is consistently designed for a two-person crew, the Estonian manufacturer is launching a corresponding version of the 41 under German management. This means a larger owner's cabin at the front, more space in the bathroom with a separate shower, walk-in forward cabin with conversion options instead of guest compartments.

Saffier Yachts

Saffier Se 24 Lite

Sailing reduced to the essentials. The brand new Saffier Se 24 Lite is one of the most exciting world premieres in Düsseldorf. The sporty hull lines, the large cockpit with sun lounge, the short and flat cabin superstructure and the powerful rig with plenty of sail area are typical of the brand, even on the smallest boat in the range.

The excitingly beautiful Spirit 30 is made entirely of mahogany in moulded construction. This feast for the eyes is available with either a fixed or hydraulic lifting keel. With a width of just 1.90 metres, the daysailer is also easy to transport on a trailer. Spirit can also build the boat with two berths under the foredeck.

MFH Emden

Tide

Lightweight, narrow, flat hull, retro style, tiller steering, closed stern: the design by Marc-Oliver v. Ahlen from the East Frisian shipyard MFH is unique in the production yacht market. The attractive and pleasing boat also surprises below deck and with many attractive details. And is a sailing delight, as the YACHT test showed.
