Simon Rogers Class 40 for Sale
The Class 40 RED is an exceptionally well-maintained Class 40 and a real eye-catcher, fully compliant with the latest Class 40 class rules. Having spent more than 10 years in winter storage at Knierim Yachtbau and having been regularly serviced and maintained by them and other professional yards, she is technically ready to start a Transat immediately, with no maintenance backlog whatsoever. Despite nearly 100,000 nautical miles sailed, this is by no means apparent, even on closer inspection.
Thanks to her highly untypical layout for a Class 40, most notably the deep, wide cockpit and the inboard lower shrouds, she is an exceptionally versatile boat among the Class 40 fleet. She can be sailed very well both single-handed and with a crew of up to six people. A spartan cruising setup is also possible thanks to the removable interior. She performs well on all points of sail and is particularly strong upwind, while reaching in stronger winds is her absolute specialty.
