Superyacht rankingThe 200 largest sailing yachts in the world

The top 10 in pictures: 10 | Badis 1 | 70.00 m: Cruising off the west coast of Africa in the early summer of 2025, the King of Morocco is still considered the owner of "Badis 1". Perini Navi spent four years building the ketch, which the US American Bill Duker took delivery of in 2016 as "Sybaris". The two carbon masts measure 62 and 72 metres, and the shrouds and stage are made from the same material. The steel-aluminium construction displaces a good 920 tonnes. Sail area on the wind: 3,045 square metres.

Our ranking shows the largest sailing yachts, from the 143 metre long "Sailing Yacht A" to the almost 50 metre long "Thalia". We provide data and designers, as well as brief portraits of the top 100. We also reveal which yachts are for sale - and at what price.

These are the 200 largest sailing yachts in the world. A collection of superlatives. XXL sail areas, spectacular designs and innovative on-board technology that challenged designers, shipyards and suppliers to the maximum during the years of planning and construction.

The Italians dominate the rankings. Perini Navi occupies an impressive 31 places in the top 100, with the majority in the popular 56-metre class (42nd to 52nd), which includes the "Bayesian" (48th place), which remained in the ranking for various reasons.

Editor News & Panorama

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
