According to the organisers, the premiere last year attracted almost 10,000 visitors to the marina in Wedel. The organisers are now hoping for a similarly strong response for the second Hamburg Yacht Festival. Around 60 exhibitors will be showcasing their latest boats, products and services over the three days of the event. Representatives of the Bente, Dehler and Jeanneau brands will also be there.
There is a wide variety of equipment suppliers presenting their services and products in Hall 2. Here, visitors can find out about the latest offerings at the stands of Yamaha, Secumar, Kadematic, Mörer, Flin Solar, Toplicht, Lütje Bootsbau, Wrede and Pantaenius.
There will also be a packed supporting programme covering all aspects of boating. For those interested in sailing, taster sailing sessions for children and adults will be offered by the trade fair partners Deutscher Segler-Verband, Hamburger Segel-Verband and Segel-Verband Schleswig-Holstein. On Saturday, the "Yacht Festival Cup" will be sailed on the Elbe and kids will gain their first regatta experience at the "Yacht Harbour Opti Cup" in the safe harbour. The RC sailors impressively demonstrate with their model boats that it is possible to sail without a large yacht. Informative presentations and live demonstrations on various topics round off the trade fair programme.
The topic of "Safety on the water" takes centre stage on the outdoor stage. Exciting and useful presentations on the topic of safety on board are aimed equally at motorboat drivers and sailors. Experts will be on hand to offer advice. On Saturday, 7 September, the popular maritime flea market will take place in Hall 4 from 10 am to 2 pm. There will also be big parties with music and live bands on Friday and Saturday evening. The boating festival will be rounded off with delicious food and drink on the large food court.
The Yachtfestival 365 agency under Managing Director Heiko Zimmermann not only organises the Yachtfestival in Hamburg, but also the Ancora Yachtfestival, which will take place for the 16th time from 23 to 25 May 2025 in the Ancora Marina in Neustadt (i. H.). The new trade fair at the marina in Wedel will once again create an autumn trade fair for sailors. Heiko Zimmermann: "With the Hamburg Yacht Festival, we are once again organising a major festival for boating on the Elbe. Following the cancellation of the Hanseboot, we want to re-establish an important meeting point and marketplace for boaters in Hamburg, on the Elbe and the North Sea in the coming years with the new offering at the Hamburg Yacht Harbour in Wedel."
