The size is exciting because even beginners can cope well with it. The class also covers a wide range of possible uses. With expansion stages up to three cabins, the boats in the entry-level class are just as suitable for holidays and weekend cruises as they are as daysailers or perhaps even for sporty regatta sailing. However, the leading manufacturers of the large product series occupy this market segment almost exclusively. The competitors' boats are called: Bavaria 34 Cruiser , Beneteau Oceanis 34.1 , Dufour 37 , Hanse 348 or Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 349.
Now, however, the Maxus 35 adds another exciting competitor to the class. It is an extremely courageous move by the yacht builders in Poland, who want to declare war on the big names in the industry in a segment that is unusually competitive. In the YACHT test, the new flagship from Maxus Yachts shows that courage can also pay off. In the test, the Maxus 35 surprises with a rock-solid concept, surprisingly good build and finishing quality and sailing characteristics that allow the Polish boat to hold its own against the competition. What's more, the Maxus 35 has been nominated for the European Yacht of the Year 2024.
The Maxus 35 is equipped as standard as a two-cabin boat with a very spacious aft locker and a large wet room with separate shower area. As an alternative, the shipyard also equips the boat with three double cabins. In this case, the toilet room is slightly smaller. The concept is also flexible when it comes to the design on deck and the equipment ex shipyard. The boat is available with either a genoa or self-tacking jib. A mast-laying device is also available as an option. L-keels with two draught variants (1.95 or 1.50 metres) are also available.
The Maxus 35 will make its German debut at the Boot trade fair in Düsseldorf in January 2024. The price for the boat with its extensive standard equipment is 160,530 euros gross, including 19% VAT.
