Marinepool has launched new boat shoes with comfortable features. The soft heel material stands out visually and is also clearly perceptible to the touch. This makes it easy and comfortable to slip into the shoe without having to open the laces. What's more, the Ocean Spirit Deck Shoe can be worn like a slip-on shoe without laces. The disadvantage is the somewhat loose fit. This can be compensated for on deck by tightening the laces. However, a different shoe is recommended for use in tough weather or in a regatta. The Ocean Spirit Deck Shoe is pleasantly light to wear and the sole is soft and supple. The slip resistance on dry and wet surfaces is good. The rather fine-cut sole has a low tendency to pick up stones and dirt. Available for 99 euros in blue/red, light blue/dark blue and black/white in sizes 36 to 47 and from 36 to 41 in grey/black and mint/grey.
B2B charger from Sterling Power
Battery-to-battery chargers, or B2B chargers for short, are extremely practical for improving the charging behaviour of the alternator, especially when using lithium batteries. The new generation from Sterling Power goes one step further: the devices not only take over the charging control of the consumer batteries with the appropriate characteristic curve, but also work in the opposite direction. This means that if the consumer battery is charged by shore power, solar or wind generator, the B2B charger takes over the charging of the starter battery, also with the appropriate characteristic curve. Programmes for lead-acid, AGM and lithium are available for the consumer battery. In addition to control via the ignition or the battery voltage, a vibration sensor can also be used to recognise the engine running. With the emergency start function, the engine battery can be charged manually from the consumer battery. Devices with charging currents from 25 to 120 amps are available. The 40 ampere model costs 420 euros.
Double syringe from West-System
The epoxy paste called G-Flex has been known for years and has proven its worth, especially for repairs in wet environments. A new feature is the practical double syringe, with which the ready-to-use compound can be easily dispensed. Depending on the application, the syringe can be combined with a mixing attachment or just used as a material dispenser. 25 millilitres cost around 21 euros.
