The Cannes Yachting Festival will take place on the Côte d’Azur for six days, from Tuesday 8 September to Sunday 13 September. For sailors, the main action will once again be centred at Port Canto on the eastern side of the bay. According to the organisers, this is the world’s largest in-water exhibition for sailing boats, showcasing the latest monohulls and catamarans from numerous international shipyards.
The exhibition will showcase cruising yachts, performance cruisers and luxury multihulls in a wide range of size categories. These will include numerous exciting premieres. Cannes 2026 will thus remain one of the most important international showcases for new sailing yachts and the latest developments in yacht building. More than 700 sailing and motor boats, ranging in length from 5 to over 50 metres, will be on display at the show, presented by over 600 international exhibitors. In addition, a large number of suppliers will be showcasing a wide range of maritime products. The organisers are expecting more than 55,000 visitors from all over the world.
With a new range, the American motor catamaran specialist Aquila is strengthening its presence in the sailing boat market. The 14.38-metre-long Aquila 45 features a forward cockpit, flybridge and plenty of living space. This exciting American yacht will make its world debut in Cannes.
As the bigger brother of the 45 Sail, the Aquila 50 Sail is also making its debut at Cannes. The designs of both models are similar: plenty of living space, a fixed foredeck platform, a forward cockpit and a flybridge with a central helm station.
The new Fountaine Pajot FP 48 replaces the Tanna 47 and offers plenty of living space and clearly separate living areas. The forward cockpit, flybridge lounge and flexible layouts featuring three to five cabins underline its touring credentials.
The review of the Fountaine Pajot FP 48 will appear in YACHT shortly. You can find the first impressions and photos from the test here.
As the larger sister model, the FP 55 follows the same comfort concept as the smaller FP 48, but offers significantly more space and a more extensive range of fittings. The 17-metre catamaran is the new flagship of the Fountaine Pajot range.
The new model from Bordeaux replaces the successful 46 and offers significantly more space on and below deck. A huge forward cockpit with direct access to the saloon, a new helm station and flexible layouts characterise this fresh design.
More space, larger windows and a more powerful rig: the new Leopard 43 replaces the 42 and moves closer to its larger sister models. A forward cockpit, flybridge lounge and three or four cabins reflect the high standards of comfort.
Designed with both speed and long-distance sailing in mind, the new Outremer 48 is aimed primarily at ambitious blue-water sailors. Sleek hulls, centreboards and a powerful rig promise high performance, whilst ten interior layouts ensure flexibility.
The Simbad 55 marks the arrival of a new Spanish brand in the luxury cruising catamaran segment. Spacious living areas, a sheltered forward cockpit and a large flybridge characterise this comfort-focused design. The ‘Legend’ version will make its debut in Cannes.
With the Windelo 55 Sport, the catamaran builders in Canet-en-Roussillon are once again significantly raising the bar in terms of performance. A longer waterline, a more aggressive bow shape, a carbon rig and optimised centreboards and rudders ensure greater speed. The Windelo 55 Sport is making its world debut in Cannes.
