​The Cannes Yachting Festival has become the largest and most important in-water boat show in Europe. The many new models on display are enriching the current market. In the first part of our preview of the show, we present the new models in the monohull category.

The Cannes Yachting Festival will take place on the Côte d’Azur for six days, from Tuesday 8 September to Sunday 13 September. For sailors, the main action will once again be centred at Port Canto on the eastern side of the bay. According to the organisers, this is the world’s largest in-water exhibition for sailing boats, showcasing the latest monohulls and catamarans from numerous international shipyards.

The exhibition will showcase cruising yachts, performance cruisers and luxurious multihulls in a wide range of size categories. These will include numerous exciting premieres. Cannes 2026 will thus remain one of the most important international venues for new sailing yachts and the latest developments in yacht building. More than 700 sailing and motor boats, ranging in length from 5 to over 50 metres, will be on display at the show, presented by over 600 international exhibitors. In addition, a large number of suppliers will be showcasing a wide range of marine products. The organisers are expecting more than 55,000 visitors from all over the world.

Amel is revamping its entry-level model for long-distance cruising. The 50.2 is a completely new design featuring more contemporary lines, increased volume and a new interior. The sheltered cockpit and the consistent design concept remain unchanged.

Boreal 56

With its latest model, the Brittany-based brand remains true to its reputation as a manufacturer of extremely robust aluminium explorer yachts. In the test (YACHTv 23/2025), the boat also demonstrated excellent sailing performance.

Grand Soleil 60 LC

Cantiere del Pardo is expanding its Long Cruise range with a new flagship. This sporty cruising yacht combines elegant lines with a high level of comfort on long voyages, easy handling and a wide range of customisation options.

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 455

The new flagship of Jeanneau’s Sun Odyssey range. Designed by Marc Lombard, this yacht, just under 14 metres in length, features the tried-and-tested walkaround cockpit, offers plenty of space and is available with three or four cabins.

Stem 50

Skaw A

The radical foiler-scow, the Skaw A, combines technology from offshore racing with the requirements of a comfortable cruising yacht. Its scow bow, swivel keel and retractable C-foils are designed to enable speeds of around 15 knots.

Opening hours: Tuesday 8 September to Sunday 13 September 2024, daily from 10 am to 7 pm. On Friday evening, the fair is open until 10 pm; on Sunday, it closes at 6 pm.

Location and how to get there: Port Canto and Vieux Port in Cannes. There are flights to Nice, as well as bus and train services to the exhibition centre in the city harbour. It is also possible to travel from Nice to the exhibition centre by water shuttle.

Admission prices: A one-day ticket for adults costs 40 euros; a two-day ticket costs 65 euros. Children aged 10 and under have free entry to the fair. The tickets are valid for entry to both exhibition sites. Tickets can be purchased online.

Links: Water shuttles and water taxis run between the ports of Port Canto and Vieux Port, and there are also buses running by land. Transport is free of charge for all trade fair visitors.
