With just a few clicks, you can crown your 2023 sailing season: send us your best shot of the year and, with a little luck, win one of our prizes.
Once again this year, there are no limits to your creativity with the camera, especially as there is no specific theme for the choice of subject. An expressive still life has just as good a chance of winning as a thrilling sailing action shot, as do portraits, nature shots or regatta impressions, a well-considered composition or a successful spontaneous snapshot. In the YACHT photo competition, you have a completely free hand when it comes to image composition and form of presentation: capture what moves you and send us your best shot.
Please make a pre-selection; each participant may only send one picture. Always include your name, full address and telephone number.
Digital photos please submit with our practical Internet upload service.
The following points must be observed:
The photo (max. 25 MB) from the current season may be digitally developed and the raw file adapted. However, it is not permitted to add content to the image or remove image content. If there is any doubt about authenticity, the original camera file must be available for analysis. In such cases, the editorial team reserves the right to exclude entries from the photo competition as an exception.
Paper prints please send to: Delius Klasing Verlag GmbH, YACHT editorial office, photo competition, Paul-Dessau-Straße 8, 22761 Hamburg. Please note your name, address and a brief description of the photo - location, date, type of boat, people depicted, situation depicted, etc. - on the back of the paper print.
The closing date for entries is 15 September 2023. The publication and utilisation rights are transferred to the editors with the submission. Employees of Delius Klasing Verlag and their relatives may not take part in the YACHT photo competition. Legal recourse is excluded.
The FLINrail+ is a 100-watt module. It can be simply, quickly and easily attached to the railing using hooks and optimally aligned to the sun thanks to the fastening lines that can be adjusted at the touch of a button. The bifacial modules used in the FLINrail also generate energy when light enters from both sides. They are therefore up to 20 per cent more productive than conventional modules. Dimensions: 107 x 56 x 2 cm; cable: 1 m; connector type: MC4; weight: 2.5 kg; can be used in winds of up to 25 knots. Value: 975 euros. flin-solar.de

The new BR1 Channel jacket from Musto has many ingenious technical details such as the high-cut collar, the elaborately crafted pockets and the attached reflectors. The soft polyamide fabric with the microporous polyurethane coating on the inside of the material allows water vapour to pass through to the outside but, conversely, reliably keeps moisture out. The mesh lining protects the coating and ensures a comfortable fit. The BR1 series is made for comfort-orientated sailors who prefer a lightweight, comfortable oilskin that provides reliable protection against bad weather. Value: 289 euros. frisch.de
The practical and foldable seat cushions offer plenty of comfort in the cockpit. They are also lightweight and easy to stow away thanks to their dimensions of 80 x 40 x 4 cm. The cover can be removed and washed at 40 degrees. The seat cushions are available in several colours. Value: 140 euros per pair. flexima.com
The rucksack is made from tear-resistant and water-repellent canvas. With its criss-crossing straps, it is an eye-catcher in the harbour. It can be extended upwards by a third thanks to the wrap-around fastener. Its packing volume is therefore 8 to 10 litres. A jacket can be clipped under the straps on the outside. Value: 139 euros each. 360gradtaschen.de
The pretty "Nature" tableware series made from plant-based materials is free from BPA and melamine, recyclable and industrially compostable, yet suitable for the microwave and dishwasher. The set includes two cups, two plates and two cereal bowls. Value: 62 euros each. living-sea.com
The "Fresh sea breeze from Kiel" brings a breath of wind and waves. The mild cleansing foam makes sailors' skin glow, while the revitalising marine tonic rounds off the care experience. The practical 500 ml stainless steel bottle with the message "A Race We Must Win" makes a statement against climate change and avoids disposable bottles. The contents stay cold for up to 24 hours or hot for up to 15 hours. All proceeds from the sale of the Malizia collection will be donated to the Malizia Ocean Challenge charity. Value: 45 euros per bottle. musto-shop.com
