Space-saving alternative to the bulky bow ladder: A piece of wood is drilled through and fitted with a line. The ropes are knotted together and the rope loop is placed over the anchor flukes. The height of the step can be adjusted as required and is more space-saving than cost-intensive alternatives from specialised dealers.

You can also read about this:
Our somewhat unconventional ladder is not bolted to the pulpit, but to the side of the hull. It can be folded up using a lifeline. It then rests against the pulpit without protruding over it and therefore does not interfere with the foresail. The ladder is also suitable for lying alongside the boat when it is moored at an angle.

We lacked a free place to put our foot on board. A chequer plate made of aluminium provided a remedy. Bent into a step and painted white, it was fitted in place of the bow roller. This also meant that no new holes had to be drilled. The increase in comfort also makes up for the somewhat ponderous appearance.

We had a short stainless steel tube welded to the bow fitting as a gennaker pole to distance the cloth more from the mainsail. The highlight here is the attachable bow step, also made of stainless steel. It is simply slipped over the tube from the front and secured with a bolt inserted through the attachment point.
