The Hanse 461 offers an extensive range of fittings and features, with over 150 options. The concept is aimed at owners who wish to customise their yacht.

More on the eagerly awaited new Hanse 461. The shipyard has announced the technical specifications and options. The Berret/Racopeau design measures 14.60 metres in overall length and 13.87 metres in waterline length. The hull width is 4.79 metres. The manufacturer offers two keel options: an L-keel with a draught of 2.25 metres and a flat-bottomed version with a draught of 1.75 metres. The weight is 13 tonnes for the flat version and 12.6 tonnes for the L-keel. The diesel tank holds 200 litres, and the fresh water tank 450 litres. The yacht is CE-certified in Category A for 12 people. The base price is 391,510 euros (including VAT).

Drive options and manoeuvring aids

The standard engine delivers 57 PS. An 80-PS diesel engine is available as an option for an additional 8,508 euros. Both engines are fitted with Saildrive and a three-bladed fixed propeller. An electric version with 30 kW of power and an 18.4 kWh battery costs 41,531 euros. The larger 36.7 kWh battery increases the price to 49,861 euros. A fold-out 24-volt bow thruster costs 13,744 euros. The even more convenient version with Vario-Speed control costs 16,660 euros. A stern thruster is only available in combination with the bow thruster for an additional €16,065.

Rigging and sail systems

The Hanse 461’s standard mast stands on deck and carries 111.3 square metres of sail area when sailing close-hauled. The mast height above water is 21.90 metres. The mainsail measures 60.3 square metres, and the jib 42 square metres. Elvstrøm supplies the Dacron sails as standard. Performance sails made from SPS material by the same manufacturer cost an additional 7,854 euros. An in-mast furling system with manual operation adds 4,224 euros to the price. The electric version costs an additional 15,767 euros. A second forestay with a manual furling system costs 8,330 euros. A gennaker with a surface area of 164 square metres costs 4,224 euros as part of a package including a recovery system and fittings.

Deck fittings and cockpit

The standard cockpit of the Hanse 461 features two stainless steel steering wheels with leather covers. GRP wheels in a Y-spoke design cost 2,261 euros. Two electric halyard winches from Lewmar (size 50) add 9,996 euros to the price. Manual sheet winches of the same size cost 3,391 euros. The swim platform is folded out manually. An electric drive with remote control costs €4,224. The Beach Club version, with folding seats and an enlarged platform, costs €10,055.

Navigation electronics and instruments

The Raymarine XW2000 navigation package costs 20,587 euros. It includes two i70s displays, an Axiom2 Pro 9S chartplotter, an Evolution autopilot and a Ray90 VHF radio. A second chartplotter for the port side costs an additional 4,046 euros. The 12-inch version of both chartplotters increases the price by 6,545 euros. A Quantum 2 radar costs 4,819 euros. The AIS transponder costs 1,963 euros. The SEA.AI Watchkeeper system (formerly Oscar) for automatic object detection costs 17,243 euros.

Power supply and on-board systems

The standard battery package comprises a 90 Ah starter battery and a 160 Ah service battery using AGM technology. The extended set, comprising four 160 Ah service batteries, costs 1,130 euros. The lithium version with a capacity of 750 Ah increases the price by 11,781 euros. An 8-kW generator costs 28,857 euros. Solar panels on the hardtop cost 9,520 euros. An inverter with a charger costs an additional 4,343 euros. A water purifier with an hourly capacity of 100 litres costs 16,065 euros.

Interior fittings and layout options

The standard A1 layout of the Hanse 461 features an owner’s cabin with a central berth at the bow. Two separate forward cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom, cost an additional 6,247 euros. The saloon can be fitted with either a navigation console or a chart table. The galley is located on the port side as standard. An additional fridge in the cockpit costs €2,737. The double-fridge option in the galley costs €3,570. A dishwasher increases the price by €2,975. The washing machine and tumble dryer cost €4,343. Electric toilets cost €2,082 per wet room. A 175-litre greywater tank costs €4,343.

Heating and air conditioning

The hot-air heating system for the saloon and aft cabin costs 5,771 euros. The hot-water system with fans in all cabins brings the price up to 12,852 euros. An air-conditioning system with a capacity of 28,000 BTU and comprising three units costs 22,491 euros. It requires a second shore power connection. The induction hob with cardan suspension only works with the 10 kW generator and costs an additional 7,854 euros.

Consumer electronics

The Fusion entertainment system for the saloon and cockpit costs 4,462 euros. It includes an MS-RA800 radio with a touchscreen, four speakers in the saloon, two in the cockpit and a subwoofer. The system for the owner’s cabin costs an additional 2,267 euros. A TV package comprising a flat-screen TV, a lifting system and a DVB-T2 aerial costs 5,652 euros. A Wi-Fi router with an amplified aerial costs 4,224 euros. A Starlink aerial adds 7,735 euros to the price.

Hardtop and weather protection

The GRP hardtop with sunroof for the Hanse 461 costs 33,796 euros. It provides shade and protection from the rain, accommodates the mainsheet and serves as a large mounting surface for solar panels. The painted version in a colour of your choice increases the price to 39,210 euros. A canvas bimini costs 5,652 euros. The sprayhood with three windows costs 4,343 euros. A fixed GRP windscreen costs 9,282 euros. The canvas version reduces the price. A Lazy Bag system with Lazy Jacks costs 1,606 euros.

Paintwork and hull colours

The standard hull comes in Signal White. A grey gelcoat finish costs an additional 6,485 euros. A solid-colour paint finish increases the price by 28,857 euros. A metallic paint finish costs 38,020 euros. A waterline in the colour of your choice costs an additional 952 euros for a gelcoat hull.

Fridtjof Gunkel was born on Helgoland in 1962; he started his sailing career there in the Opti and quickly switched to keelboats. North Sea Week, Cowes Week and Kiel Week were early stops, followed by many years in the Admiral's Cup scene on the cuppers “Container” and “Rubin” World Championships and international regattas in the Starboat, with the mini-maxi “SiSiSi” and various tonner yachts as well as participation in the Whitbread Round the World Race were further formative stations, flanked by extensive cruising trips. Fridtjof Gunkel joined YACHT back in 1985 as part of a traineeship, where he later became Head of the Test & Technology department and then Deputy Editor-in-Chief around 25 years ago. He is also responsible for the regatta and sports section. Fridtjof Gunkel privately sails a performance/cruiser moored on the Baltic coast, his favorite areas are the eastern Swedish archipelago and Brittany.
