At the 16th edition of Germany's largest inwater boat show, around 170 motor and sailing yachts ranging in length from six to 24 metres will be on display at the jetties in the Ancora Marina in Neustadt, including many yachts from well-known manufacturers. The most exciting and important innovations and premieres in the sailing yacht sector are listed below in the overview. A special focus this year is on the boat building skills of exhibitors from the neighbouring north.
Many shipyards from Scandinavia with illustrious names have announced their attendance. Hallberg-Rassy, Najad, Arcona and Linjett from Sweden as well as X-Yachts, Faurby, Nordship and Dragonfly from Denmark will be exhibiting. And, with three motorised catamarans, four sailing catamarans and a trimaran, the Ancora Yacht Festival offers a wide range for lovers of boating on several hulls. Fast sailing, but also comfortable travelling and living are the attractions of the multihulls, with the outfitters exhibiting their products in a 1,500 square metre hall or in one of the more than one hundred pagodas along the harbour wall. As partners of the Ancora Yacht Festival, the magazines YACHT and BOOTE will also be represented at the trade fair again this year with an informative stand. The publishing house Delius Klasing will also be present with its maritime book and nautical chart programme.
The infotainment area is an integral part of the event concept, says Heiko Zimmermann, founder and skipper of organiser Yachtfestival 365 GmbH. On the stages, in the exhibition hall and in the open-air area, visitors will learn everything they need to know about water sports. And of course there will also be plenty of entertainment and culinary delights. The finest food trucks invite you to linger, and the social highlight will be the harbour night on Saturday evening with live music from the band "Max and Friends".
