The festival of traditional yachts and dinghies came to an end on Saturday with the Rendezvous of the Classics at Kiel Week. Our photographer Nico Krauss was there with his camera

After an exciting regatta day in Høruphav and the onward journey to Kappeln on the Schlei, the classic fleet of more than 200 yachts and dinghies concluded their sailing festival in Kiel, where the rendezvous of the classics took place at the start of Kiel Week.

At the closing event at the Kiel Yacht Club, prizes were awarded one last time and everyone celebrated together. You will soon be able to read the detailed report from Classic Week here on yacht.com! More special pictures of Nico Krauss can be found at www.yachtrace-shots.de.

The ten-day event for yachts and boats from the era of traditional boatbuilding was organised for the fifth time. As in 2006, 2012, 2014 and 2019, the Friends of Classic Yachts organised the Classic Week in Apenrade, Dyvig, Høruphav, Kappeln and Kiel.

The magic that classic yachts exude is nowhere more tangible than at their numerous meetings, whether regattas, festivals or squadron cruises. There are numerous highlights for classic yacht enthusiasts throughout the season, and not just on the German coast.
