The design of the new Aventura 43 is once again the work of Lasta Design Studio. Consequently, the new model remains true to the shipyard’s current design language. The similarity to its larger sister ship is striking: the Aventura 43 is only slightly shorter than the 45-foot model, but is around 30 centimetres narrower – which is generally a major consideration with catamarans. The design is therefore significantly more elongated.
The design of the new Aventura 43 is once again the work of Lasta Design Studio. Consequently, the new model also remains true to the shipyard’s current design language. The similarity to the larger 45-foot model is striking: the Aventura 43 is only slightly shorter in comparison, but is around 30 centimetres narrower. This gives the design a much more elongated appearance overall.
On deck, the new model closely follows the familiar and tried-and-tested Aventura design. The raised helm station on one side has been retained, as has the separation between the helm station and the working cockpit. This is a particularly effective layout during manoeuvres, as it allows two people to work simultaneously without getting in each other’s way. All halyards, sheets and trim lines are systematically routed to the two large winches on the cabin superstructure. A bimini top is also available as an option above the helm as sun protection. The flybridge design, with its spacious seating area on the cabin roof, has also been retained. A high, wraparound backrest ensures comfort and secure support there.
The forward cockpit has been slightly modified. Four large sun loungers remain part of the design, whilst the platform now extends further forward. As a result, the trampolines are smaller than before. Overall, the deck layout remains clearly geared towards comfort and a pleasant on-board experience, without compromising the boat’s functional design.
The overall sporty rig design is well suited to the boat’s character. The mast is positioned relatively far aft, roughly amidships, and there is plenty of sail area, with a square-headed mainsail included even in the standard specification. Added to this is an overlapping genoa with cleats on the cabin superstructure. However, a self-tacking jib is not available as an option.
For the interior fit-out in the saloon, the Aventura adopts the familiar basic layout of the larger 45-foot model. The seating area has been moved well forward, whilst the galley is positioned aft and is therefore closely integrated with the outdoor cockpit and outdoor seating area. The large sliding doors open wide, creating a direct link between the interior and exterior.
The hull layout is designed to accommodate a three-cabin version for owners, as well as an optional four-cabin variant for charter use. A key change compared with the Aventura 45 concerns the aft cabins: the berths there are now arranged lengthways to the direction of travel. This is due to the slimmer overall hulls. Separate access hatches to the aft cabins, as found on the larger model, have therefore been omitted. In the fore section, the familiar layout with transversely arranged cabins remains unchanged. In both versions, all cabins feature their own spacious en-suite bathroom with a separate shower area.
The shipyard also offers several options when it comes to propulsion. The standard configuration comprises two Yanmar diesel engines, each with 30 PS. More powerful engines with 57 PS are available as an option. Alternatively, two electric motors, each with 20 kW, or a hybrid propulsion system are also to be offered.
However, the key difference compared with the larger Aventura 45 lies in the price. The shipyard has set a base price for the new Aventura 43 of 419,500 euros net, or around 499,200 euros gross, including 19 per cent VAT. The larger Aventura 45 is significantly more expensive at 587,000 euros net or 698,530 euros gross. This is precisely where the new 43 is likely to appeal to many prospective buyers: as a slightly simpler, slightly sleeker and, above all, significantly more affordable sister model to the flagship – without straying too far from the Aventura 45 in terms of design.
