The Porto San Rocco Marina has 546 berths.
The Porto San Rocco Marina in Muggia, near Trieste, has 546 berths. Following this acquisition, D-Marin now operates nine marinas in Italy. The region is now the largest in the marina operator’s network.

Porto San Rocco is situated in the Gulf of Trieste, near the Slovenian and Croatian borders. The marina acts as a gateway between Italy and the wider holiday region, offering access to the most beautiful stretches of the Adriatic coast. With 546 berths for yachts up to 60 metres in length, the marina complements D-Marin’s premium portfolio in the Mediterranean.

Resort with a hotel and conference hall

As well as its mooring facilities, Porto San Rocco boasts a large waterfront resort: hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, a spa, a petrol station and a conference hall are all available to boat owners, skippers and crews.

The offering is complemented by excellent transport links, which make the marina an attractive base for exploring the area. The marina thus joins existing D-Marin locations such as Punta Faro in the northern Adriatic, as well as other marinas in Liguria, Tuscany and Sardinia. D-Marin currently operates nine marinas in Italy; in 2023, it operated just one.

Next steps for D-Marin

Porto San Rocco now offers another opportunity to explore Italy and neighbouring Adriatic destinations whilst enjoying the same standards of service and quality. Owners and guests benefit from D-Marin’s expertise in marina operations, customer experience, digital innovation and sustainable infrastructure.

The completion of the transaction is still subject to regulatory approvals. D-Marin was advised by Intesa Sanpaolo (IMI CIB Division) as financial adviser and by Latham & Watkins on legal and contractual matters.

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
