It works: bathing ladder with handles
Båtsystem has a new swim ladder that can be installed to save space. Two handles also fold out when the ladder is extended

The handle bolted to the side of the ladder is almost as important as the ladder itself. Because without a handle, it is difficult or even impossible to climb the rungs. Bathing ladders should not only make it possible to climb up after a refreshing swim, but also ensure that crew members who have fallen overboard can get back on board. Good functionality is therefore also relevant to safety.

The Swedish manufacturer Båtsystem has developed a swim ladder with integrated handles. The ladder can be pushed together to save space. When extended, the steps and handles fold out at the same time. Handholds on each side make it easier to stand safely.

The ladder is available in two versions with three and four steps; the former is 86 centimetres long, the longer one 110 centimetres. The ladder is inclined by 10 degrees, which makes it easier to get out of the water. The shorter version with three steps costs 595 euros, the four-step version 682 euros.

Redakteur Test & Technik
