With EasyUp, Osculati has a new telescopic bathing ladder in its programme that is designed to offer particular comfort in several respects. Firstly, the steps are stable, wide and reach far down into the water, and there are also two side handles to make the top step and the step on board safe. Otherwise, a separately installed handle would be required at the stern.
The real highlight, however, is that the ladder folds upwards when the handles are pushed down from the bathing platform. The ladder can then simply be folded up, pushed together and slid into the stainless steel cassette. This can be installed directly in the bathing platform or in the mirror. When fully stowed, a panel on the lowest step closes the storage space flush. A latch holds it in position. As soon as the latch is pushed to the side, the EasyUp comes out.
If the ladder is fitted in the bathing platform, it cannot be reached if the hatch is closed when sailing. This also means that the ladder is not directly available in an emergency. Lowering the bathing platform in rough seas can be dangerous for a person in the water. A separate rescue ladder is therefore still advisable in this special installation situation. The bathing ladder costs from 2000 euros.

Redakteur Test & Technik
