On Friday, the new Water sports fair INSA (International Sailors Affairs Flensburg) opened its doors in the Flens Arena. A completely new water sports trade fair in the very north of northern Germany. In addition to around 80 exhibitors, who will present themselves on an area of 4,500 square metres, there will also be a Supporting programme with lectures and workshops. Wilfried Erdmann will be there on all three days.
"I said yes back in the spring, when I was still feeling well," Erdmann writes on its website. He had only recently announced there that he had to give up sailing for health reasons. He had even given his last official lecture in front of a large audience many years ago.
This makes it all the more surprising and pleasing that Wilfried Erdmann will once again take to the stage at the INSA in Flensburg and tell some "sailing stories" from his eventful life in 30-minute appearances. "It reminds me a lot of Moitessier, my role model, who was also ill and sold and signed books for days on end at the Paris boat show," Erdmann continues.
Of course, he will also have his books with him and will be happy to sell and sign them at stand number 12.6. Take the opportunity to meet Wilfried Erdmann in Flensburg, exchange a few words - and give him a few good wishes along the way.
