Stainless steel care Wichinox
The tried and tested Wichinox care product is now available as a gel. The new formula makes it easier to use in hard-to-reach areas. The product is suitable for cleaning and passivating stainless steel.

Wichard has revised its well-known Wichinox stainless steel care product and now offers it in gel form. The new consistency is designed to make it easier to use, especially in hard-to-reach areas. Like the previous version, Wichinox is used for both cleaning and permanently sealing stainless steel in a maritime environment.

Wichinox is used on deck fittings, such as jibs or bow and stern pulpits, to remove dull spots or discolouration caused by flash rust. The gel can be applied easily and precisely. Users apply a thin layer to the surface to be treated and leave it to work for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the degree of soiling. The gel is then rinsed off with clear water. The process can be repeated for stubborn stains. The gel consistency prevents it from running off vertical surfaces too quickly. This allows the care product to work more efficiently.

Protective gloves and goggles must be worn during application. The product contains corrosive substances and should not come into contact with the skin or eyes. The container contains 250 millilitres of the care product and costs €26.10.

Products with oxalic acid have a similar effect, but significantly longer application times must be expected: Antigilb from Yachtcare, Rust Stain Remover from Yachticon and Stain Remover from International.
