Air conditioning: Modular cooling technology with high efficiency

The BlueCool VX series is a chiller system with variable speed control. By adapting to the current cooling requirement, precise load management with high efficiency is achieved.

The heat exchangers are made of titanium and are designed for a long service life. With three ECO modes, the performance can be fine-tuned while keeping energy consumption low - this plays an important role during longer stays in harbours or at sea.

Thanks to the modular design, up to six BlueCool units can be combined with each other. Output levels of 36, 48, 60, 72 and 120 BTU/h are available. The range of applications extends from medium-sized yachts to superyachts, and each configuration can be customised to meet specific requirements.

A concrete example: For the Catamaran Lagoon Eighty 2 A customised solution was developed in cooperation with the Beneteau Group. Webasto mounted two VX modules in advance on a specially manufactured frame and delivered them as a plug-and-play unit. This reduces the installation effort as well as possible sources of error during assembly. More information at webasto.com
