What to do if the anchor won't go up?
If you have to leave the anchorage quickly due to a change in the weather, but the anchor gets caught, the crew and ship are in danger. How to get free

Integrate a recovery aid into the chain for emergencies

On unclean anchorage grounds, it can always happen that the iron gets caught on stones, chains or other obstacles. In this case, a trip line attached to the anchor head is worth its weight in gold. If you choose a thin but tear-resistant line, it can be threaded through the anchor chain in large bays and is therefore always in use without getting in the way.
in use without getting in the way. It only has to run free for the last few metres. If, in an emergency, the hook cannot be released even after the short stay has been passed, the line that has been passed through is put on deck and slack is given to the chain. It now slides down and the line pull acts directly on the anchor head.
