The weight can be adjusted to the nearest gram by using small pieces of lead
Riding weights on the hawser provide extra safety when you are swinging. You can save money with lead from the automotive sector and an old plastic bottle

The holding force of an anchor can be increased and the centre of gravity reduced with a riding weight. Our inexpensive homemade construction consists of a robust plastic bottle, which we fill with lead balancing weights (available from tyre dealers for a few euros). We eliminate the residual buoyancy of the remaining air by filling it with water. If polyester is poured into the bottle instead of water, the small lead parts are also fixed in place. The lid is screwed on using sealing compound. This handy riding weight weighs around 5 kilograms on the hawser and is clipped on with a carabiner.
