Better to moor in the box with stern lines than jumping
Entering a narrow box can be tricky, especially in crosswinds. With two auxiliary lines, you can keep control of your boat at all times

Better to moor in the box with stern lines than jumping

In strong crosswinds, the yacht is quickly driven to leeward when mooring in the box. The boat can be better controlled if the stern lines are first redirected to the winches via midships cleats.

As soon as the dolphins are amidships when entering the harbour, the stern lines are laid over them and tightened. The engine is then pushed against the mooring lines and the boat is slowly manoeuvred up to the jetty by lowering the stern lines.
