Qool Box
Cooling or even freezing for days on end, and all without a power supply. A new type of material should make this possible

With the Qool Box, the German company Qool offers various chest freezers that cool passively and are designed to keep food fresh for up to ten days without a power supply. This is achieved with particularly effective insulation. So-called vacuum insulation panels are used here. They are cooled with Qool Temperature Elements, which are made of phase change material. They have the special property that, when cooled to minus 18 degrees, they keep the Qool Box at a constant temperature for many days.

The cool pack variants Frozen with a temperature range of -20 to -10 degrees, Cool with -2 to +2 degrees and Fresh with +2 to +8 degrees are available. They are available in sizes M with a volume of 27 litres and L with a volume of 42 litres.

The Qool Box M measures 525 x 375 x 410 millimetres and costs 430 euros with the Temperature Elements Cool.
