A new issue of our special edition YACHT classic is on sale. On 130 pages, we take our readers into the beautiful parallel world of classic yachting

The 33rd issue of our classic boat magazine covers a wide range of topics. We take you on board the J-Class yacht "Topaz" during a regatta off the coast of Majorca and on board the 1924 "Troll" pointed gate, which took 14 years of Sisyphean labour to restore.

Blue water sailor Thies Matzen describes the magic of travelling beyond 96 degrees west longitude on board his "Wanderer III", which has already been there with Susan and Eric Hiscock, its first owners.

In the south of England, our author Nic Compton went on board the last existing South Coast One design yacht "Kelpie", and boat builder Tommy Loewe takes us on his beloved "Herta", a touring cruiser from Abeking & Rasmussen built in 1923.

In addition to such reports, reports on classic boatbuilding and yachting stories, our readers can expect all sorts of interesting facts, including the origin of sea chests and the development and function of paraffin lamps.

We have also researched the lives of outstanding personalities who have long since been forgotten, such as the exceptional Berlin sailor Otto Protzen, the adventurer Hans Zitt from Bavaria, who sailed to India in a boat he built himself before the war, and the cosmopolitan Georg Dibbern, who set off from Kiel for New Zealand in his recently restored "Te Rapunga" in the 1930s.

Last but not least, the new issue once again features opulent images by our photographer Nico Krauss.
