The new performance cruiser from the Italian cult brand Wally is ready to sail, number two is under construction. The Wallywind 110 will be joined by a 130 and a 150.

The launch of the 110-footer was a great moment, the spectacle was cheered on by members of the Wally management, the craftsmen and representatives of the Ferretti Group, to which the Italian brand has belonged since 2019. Together with their families, they admired how the 33-metre slip glided into the water. The light blue metallic paintwork shone in the June sun, with the appearance of the outer skin changing depending on the light. The construction of this carbon jewel, which is intended to score points both on long distances and in regattas with an upwind sail area of 576 square metres, was provided by the Bremerhaven team from Judel/Vrolijk & Co. The unique deck layout, the work of Wally's design team and the Santa Maria Magnolfi studio, which together drew the exterior lines and interior of the Wallywind 110, was already evident at the ceremony.

Wally founder and chief designer Luca Bassani is satisfied with the 70-tonner and praises what he sees as the ideal mix of performance and design: "We took a thorough look at the deck areas. The result was an 80 square metre cockpit that is completely free of sailing equipment, comparable to a superyacht at least 60 metres long." The owners and their guests can therefore lean back on sofas and sun loungers, plus there are two additional lounges at the stern and on the foredeck. Those who need even more space on board will also find what they are looking for: The plans for the Wallys 130 and 150 are already ready. And the second Wallywind 110 is already under construction.
