10 Opera: The Lürssen giant is only almost a new ship - the 146 metres are based on the "Sassi", which was almost completely destroyed by a major fire in the Bremen floating dock in September 2018. The wreck was eventually brought back to Hamburg, where the original metalwork had already taken place. Despite the disaster, the owner remained loyal to both the shipyard and the measure. His new model quickly took shape again and travelled to Bremen Berne for fitting out, where a soprano sang Puccini's aria "Chi il bel sogno" at the launch in March 2023. The all-round design was provided by British designer Terence Disdale. Her owner, presumably from Dubai, will be travelling at up to 20 knots across the world's oceans with almost 50 overnight guests on board.

9th Prince Abdul Aziz: When she is not at home in Jeddah, she often sails the Mediterranean for more than 60 guests. Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud had the state yacht built in Helsingør, Denmark, in the early 1980s. After the death of the Saudi king, Abdullah ibn Abd al-Aziz, heir to the throne, took over and his son Abdul Aziz bin Fahd was the last owner of the 4620 gross ton "small" Giga.

8. A+: The ex-"Topaz" still appears to be owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayid Al Nahyan. The son of Zayid bin Sultan Al Nahyan is a member of the ruling family of Abu Dhabi and has also ordered "Blue" (5th place) from Lürssen. Since the name change a good five years ago, there have been hardly any photos of "A+", the longest yacht in Tim Heywood's catalogue. The look of the lower hull edge is borrowed from a warship.

7 Al Said: It is rare for state yachts to be officially offered for sale via brokers. This was the case with "Al Said" after the death of Qabus bin Said, Sultan of Oman. Black Orange Yachts listed the 15,850-gross-tonne colossus on behalf of Bin Said's successor Haitham ibn Tariq, but only for a short time. In June 2022, the Lürssen disappeared from the market and is said to have gone to the royal family of Qatar - complete with meeting room and disco.

6th Dilbar: After the sister of Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov was identified as the owner and both were on EU sanctions lists, the German BKA confiscated the 16 gross tonne format. The Espen-Øino design had been at Lürssen Yacht Refit & Services since 2020 for the regular five-year inspection. Apparently, various work was then carried out on board.
