The jury based its decision on the extreme lines of the exterior styling, the build quality and the technical solutions.

Great joy at Alloy Yachts: The 67 metre long ketch "Vertigo" (issue 5/11) also won the Prix du Design 2012 at the Monaco Yacht Show, where Alloy CEO Tony Hambrook welcomed Monaco CEO Prince Albert on board. This design medal added to the shower of prizes that had previously been awarded this year to the Briand Cruiser, the 2012 Sailing Yacht of the Year with home port Bikini M.I. (for Marshall Islands). The Monaco jury based its decision on the extreme lines of the exterior styling, the build quality and the technical solutions that were necessary due to the unusual design features. They also praised the balance of sailing performance and long-distance capability.
