The three-model portfolio (55 to 110 feet) of the yacht builder inspired by design icon William Fife is growing this year with the addition of the 23.50 metre long Fairlie 77 model, which can be keel-rigged yawl or slip-rigged.
The hull and superstructure of the 30-tonne boat are laminated from mahogany and Douglas spruce according to plans by yacht designer Paul Spooner, while the rigging package is made of carbon fibre.
The new Fairlie carries 250 square metres of canvas on the wind, while a Volvo Penta diesel with 82 kilowatts of power takes over propulsion in narrow harbour basins.
For the interior, the customer can choose between a layout with an owner's cabin in the bow or stern.
