Bill Dixon developed this supersailer project, christened "Mantis 67", in close co-operation with yacht designer Ken Freivokh and the Dyna rig specialists from Dykstra Naval Architects.
The rig attracted a lot of attention worldwide with the launch of the 88-metre three-master "Maltese Falcon", which has proven how efficiently this rig works at many regattas since 2005.
However, "Mantis 67" will not only attract attention with its two free-standing masts, each with five square sails, but also thanks to its modern exterior styling with a vertical stem, several balconies and a large retractable bathing platform.
The freeboard of the design for twelve guests is, like the surrounding bulwark, very high.
