For decades, fishermen's workboats have been recreated on the west coast of Cornwall in the classic style: Cornish Shrimper and the larger Cornish Crabber. The Shrimper is the entry-level class, small, cuddly, gaff-rigged with a long keel and stub keels for falling dry. The Kliner-style boats have a dedicated fan base that sails them even in rough conditions and goes on tours throughout Europe every year. Although the shrimpers are relatively heavy (1.4 tonnes), they are easy to trailer and very simple to rig.
We tested the latest addition to the Shrimper series, the 21. Here are our first visual impressions, read the detailed test from YACHT 14/2015 here!
