For 21 years now, the European Yacht of the Year Award has been the Oscar of the boatbuilding industry. Under the direction of YACHT, 21 nominated innovations were extensively measured, tested and evaluated in detail at two locations for this edition. In the new issue, you can find out which boats came out on top in the categories of cruising and luxury yachts, special boats and multihulls. In addition, the prestigious European jury of experts awarded a special prize for sustainability, which honours the sailing yacht with the most ecologically convincing approach. Around three months after the storm surge of the century, we wanted to find out how the extensive damage in the hard-hit harbours will affect the coming season.
