The Sun Odyssey 415 has a walk-around cockpit,...
The French company Wert is expanding its successful Sun Odyssey series with a new 41-foot model. The Sun Odyssey 415 comes with a walkaround cockpit and various keel, rigging and cabin options.

The French shipyard presents the Sun Odyssey 415, a new model in its popular cruiser range. The 12.35 metre long sailing yacht with bowsprit was designed by Marc Lombard Yacht Design and replaces the Sun Odyssey 410. With a focus on innovation and versatility, Jeanneau aims to appeal to both experienced sailors and beginners.

Innovative design for more comfort

One of the main focuses during the development of the new Sun Odyssey was on optimising the deck design, according to the shipyard. The yacht has a so-called "walk-around" deck, which allows unobstructed access from the cockpit to the bow. This design solution, which has already been successfully implemented on the other models in the range, not only increases safety and comfort on board, but also makes it easier to operate the winches.

Flexibility through various configurations

The Sun Odyssey 415 is offered in various keel and cabin versions to cater for different sailing areas and customer requirements. There is a choice of a flat keel with a draught of 1.60 metres, a standard keel with a draught of 2.25 metres and a swing keel that can be varied between 1.37 and 2.97 metres.

Sun Odyssey with two or three cabins

Inside, Jeanneau has opted for a light, modern ambience. The 415 is available in two- and three-cabin versions, with the two-cabin version offering additional storage space and a larger aft cabin. The spacious galley and navigation area are functionally designed. Special attention has been paid to natural lighting and ventilation to create a pleasant atmosphere below deck, according to the shipyard.

Jeanneau with variance for keels and rigs

The Sun Odyssey 415 is equipped with a 45 hp diesel engine. The sail wardrobe can be configured according to customer requirements, whereby a conventional mainsail and a self-tacking jib are provided as standard. The rig is designed for easy handling, which should also make the yacht attractive for the charter market. Despite the focus on comfort and ease of handling, Jeanneau promises good sailing characteristics that should satisfy both cruising sailors and ambitious crews. According to the shipyard, the new boat is slightly lighter than the previous model, which has been achieved by optimising the weight, among other things. The price starts at 260,610 euros.
