This year, the water sports trade fair in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance will be held for only five days for the second time. The shortened format was already very popular with both the public and exhibitors last year. Starting next week, visitors can once again look forward to numerous exciting innovations and a wide selection of boats on display.
As usual, the sailing boats and outfitters can be found in Halls A3 and A4. Many new and interesting sailing boats will also be on display in the Interboot harbour on the lake, which can also be test sailed. Overall, the trade fair programme will have a broader focus. Hall B4 will be all about trailers and caravanning. In addition, the aspects of yacht chartering and tourism will be more strongly emphasised. Numerous presentations and workshops on the action stage in Hall A3 round off the extensive programme.
Interboot is open daily from Wednesday, 24 September, to Sunday, 28 September, from 10 am to 6 pm. Day tickets for adults are available for 15 euros via the online ticket shop. At the box office, admission costs 19 euros, the afternoon ticket (Wed/Thu/Fri only) is half price from 3 pm.

With a new, small boat, the Dutch company Saffier Yachts is taking its proven daysailer concept to the lower end of feasibility. The Saffier Se 24 Lite performs well downwind and appeals to active sailors with almost dinghy-like characteristics. However, the concept remains very simple. What's more, you can also spend the night inside with some restrictions. The complete test report.
