"Never change a running system", thought the BOOTE-EXCLUSIV event team again this year when it came to choosing the conference location for the 13th edition of the German Superyacht Summit. Hardly any other hotel exudes as much maritime charm as the Hotel Hafen Hamburg in the St. Pauli district, which opened in 1979 and has hosted the German Superyacht Conference since 2013. The fully glazed Elbkuppel hall, which was modernised last year, not only offers a sensational panoramic view of the Hanseatic city, but also a direct and deep insight into the Lürssen docks opposite, where numerous large yachts are currently undergoing refit.
"This year, we are focussing on a selection of ten speakers from different areas of the superyacht industry," explains BOOTE-EXCLUSIV editor-in-chief Martin Hager. "In this way, we are presenting an exciting programme that will offer the maximum of 150 participants plenty of variety in combination with the extended networking breaks."
Rob Luijendijk and Enrique Tintore from Damen Yachting will start the day. He answers the question of how (car) designers anticipate the trends of the future. US designer and yacht designer Bill Tripp is a GSC speaker for the second time. He sheds light on why considering the stability of a vessel is crucial, especially when yachts are travelling worldwide.
