More premieres at the Cannes Yachting Festival:
Typical for the concept of the new model generation from Nautitech are two steering wheels, which are mounted recessed aft. The 48 Open inherits the successful genes of its smaller brother, but offers even more space for comfortable travelling.
The high-performance alternative on three hulls comes from La Rochelle. Neel Trimarans has further expanded its brand range and, with the new 52, has also upped the ante in terms of sportiness. The interior design concept is now even more versatile.
The Océan Développement shipyard in Brittany is coming to Cannes with a new build that is both exciting and unusual. The innovative MODX 70 catamaran is powered by two inflatable wing rigs, with electric drives for harbour manoeuvres.
The abbreviation ST stands for Square-Topp, but also for a completely new rig concept that the Italians at Solaris Yachts have developed for their 40s. In this version, the boat is delivered without a backstay, allowing a sun sail to be stretched over the cockpit.
The elegant yacht from Aquileia was designed by Javier Soto Acebal in collaboration with Lorenzo Argento. A striking feature is the wide stern with two rudder blades and chine lines that extend far upwards. Five double cabins with five bathrooms are provided below deck.
Multihull enthusiasts can look forward to a special premiere in Cannes. The Swisscat SC 55 is built under the Swiss flag in Italy with a high proportion of carbon fibre. The rig is also made entirely of carbon fibre. The customer is involved in designing the interior below deck.
The long-established French brand Wauquiez is once again attracting attention with an exciting new and unusual blue-water boat. The Wauquiez 55 is not only visually completely new, but also conceptually. World premiere in Cannes.
The French brand Windelo Catamarans is committed to sustainability. This means all-electric drives, ecological construction with basalt fibres and a PET foam core. The special feature: the steering cockpit is completely sealed off from the saloon.
Michael Schmidt's shipyard in Greifswald is presenting its latest new build, the Slup Y8, in Cannes. Thanks to a well thought-out deck layout and many technical aids, the almost 24 metre long ship can also be sailed easily with a small crew.
