The design once again comes from the Finot-Conq studio, which has fundamentally redesigned and modernised both the lines and the concept. The further development is particularly visible in the cockpit, where there are now two separate cockpit tables. If desired, these can be lowered and transformed into spacious sun loungers with additional cushions.
An optional targa bracket above the cockpit completes the equipment and serves as the basis for a sprayhood, hardtop and bimini. With these modules in combination, the cockpit can be completely covered and even extended to form an enclosed cake stand. The stern has also been redesigned and can be customised. One of the most striking options is a central module with an additional cool box and plancha grill.
In terms of rigging, Beneteau continues to focus on easy handling: the Oceanis 47 comes with a furling mast and self-tacking jib as standard. Sporty sailors can order the First-Line equipment package, which gives them a higher sports mast and a better sail wardrobe with a 109 per cent overlapping genoa. A gennaker and/or code zero are also optionally available - for more performance, especially in light to medium winds.
Below deck, the tried-and-tested layout and layout variants of the predecessor model Oceanis 46.1 have essentially been retained. The standard version of the Oceanis 47 offers three cabins and two heads. A version with four cabins, each with its own bathroom, is available for use on yacht charters. As a further option, an additional fifth cabin with Pullman berths can be realised - in this case, however, the number of heads is reduced to three. The layouts and all possible variants are shown in the picture gallery above.
Beneteau quotes a base price of 368,900 euros for the new Oceanis 47, gross including 19% VAT. The sails are also included in the price. The new yacht will celebrate its world premiere this September at the Yachting Festival in Cannes, together with the new Oceanis 52, the new flagship in Bénéteau's cruising range.
