Océanis 36 CC: High and dry
At last, Bénéteau is offering a mid-cockpit class boat of less than eleven metres. With a length of 36 feet, the French have created an enormous amount of space below deck. Thanks to a cruiser-racer hull, the sailing characteristics are impressive despite the furling sails.

Compared to the competition, the Océanis 36 CC from Bénéteau offers plenty of space and living comfort below deck. The interior is practically organised with an exemplary owner's aft cabin, a practical seating arrangement and generous sanitary and galley facilities. The hull design allows high sailing performance and flawless manoeuvrability. The rig and sail handling is uncomplicated and completely tailored to cruising. The shipyard could still make a few improvements to the details, particularly to the rubbing strake. The price (from 205,000 marks) and performance have convinced me.
