A new boat every year: Over the last three years, Dufour Yachts has consistently renewed its touring programme from the ground up. The next model, the new Dufour 48, is now ready to replace the Dufour 470. Versions with three or four cabins, each with its own toilet room, are planned for the interior. An additional double cabin with bunk beds is also possible. The first construction number is scheduled for completion in April 2025.

In addition to the new 48 (see above), the yacht builders in Perigny near La Rochelle now also have a larger flagship in the works. The shipyard representatives recently announced this at the Boot trade fair in Düsseldorf. However, the details and a detailed description of the concept will not be published until mid-February. The large Dufour 54 is to replace the existing Dufour 53. Its world premiere is planned for the Yachting Festival in Cannes.

She is a real eye-catcher. The new retro-classic Eagle 46 from Leonardo Yachts in the Netherlands was developed by Hoek Design and features a modern, powerful underwater plan with deep, slender appendages. Above the waterline, the beautiful, slender design with the wide hull overhangs is striking. The Eagle 46 is available in two versions: The standard model is built from GRP sandwich material using the vacuum infusion process. Alternatively, the beautiful Dutchwoman is also available completely made of carbon fibre with a weight saving of around 800 kilograms.

The traditional Swedish shipyard is once again focussing on more compact sizes and is expanding its range in the conventional model segment. The Hallberg-Rassy 370 with aft cockpit has been announced as a new model for 2025. Of course, the new one from Ellös is also a design by the legendary Argentinean Germán Frers, who has been working for Hallberg-Rassy since 1988. The first Type 370 boat will probably be ready for testing in late autumn 2025.

The new flagship from Hanseyachts was eagerly awaited. The new boat is set to impress on deck in particular with a new cockpit layout and a fixed roof to make the outdoor area more usable in all weathers. The cockpit of the new Hanse is covered by a hardtop, the fixed GRP section of which is a whopping 18 square metres in size. Below deck, the shipyard offers three to five cabins and three to four heads compartments.

The space miracle has become the secret star at the Boot trade fair in Düsseldorf. The small Maxus 31 from the Northman shipyard in Poland surprises with an astonishing amount of space on and below deck as well as a fully touring-capable interior with up to three double cabins, a pantry and a wet room with separate shower area.

The new, large blue-water cruiser from Alubat's aluminium forge is called Ovni 490. The shipyard in Les Sables-d'Olonne on the French west coast will have completed construction of the number one in spring 2025. The premiere is then planned for the La Grand Pavois trade fair in La Rochelle in September. The vessels in the legendary Ovni series will be built in a particularly robust design as aluminium multi-buckling bulkheads with lead ballast and continuous cold foam insulation. The swivelling ballast centreboard can be completely raised into the hull. This means that the Ovni 490 is very stable on the floor plate and on the two rudder blades when it falls dry.

Martin Menzner from Berckemeyer Yacht Design has designed a modern light metal cruiser that is being built at a new shipyard in Kiel. The Pure 42 hull is being built at Jachtbouw Folmer in Holland and will be built by the newly founded shipyard in Kiel. Pure Yachts (see also prototype Pure 49) on the Kiel Fjord has been expanded and completed. Further Berckemeyer designs are to be created there in the future. The Pure 42 can be customised to a large extent. The owner can design the furniture surfaces, floorboards and fabrics as well as the conversion of the centre cabin into a guest cabin, office or storage space.
