The new Hanse 461 remains true to the shipyard line, but works with many small fresh details.
Stool in the stern, flying staysail, eight cabin layouts: with the 461, Hanseyachts is already renewing the first model that was brought onto the production line with the designers from Berret/Racopeau.

Things are happening again in Greifswald. The first new model is under construction there following the takeover of the shipyard group by the entrepreneur Andreas Müller. This is the 461, which replaces the 460. After all, it won European Yacht of the Year in 2022 and is as highly regarded as it is successful on the market.

And now the successor, although some models in the shipyard's portfolio are significantly older. The shipyard is not promising a revolution, but is instead focussing on improving proven concepts. Product Manager Andreas Unger states that he wants to further reinforce the brand's strengths.

Hanse with beach club in the stern

The most striking new feature of the new Hanse can be found at the stern. The so-called Beach Club extends the bathing platform and integrates ergonomic seating directly on the water. The shipyard has enlarged the platform and installed two cockpit lockers and two stern lockers. An optional wet bar can be equipped with an electric or gas barbecue. New telescopic davits make the dinghy easier to handle.

According to Hanse, the cockpit area is said to be the largest in the direct competition in the 46-foot class, which is made up of the Bavaria C46the Jeanneau 455 of the Beneteau 47 and the Dufour 48 consists of. The mainsail is hoisted on the coachroof, which keeps the cockpit area free. Two steering wheels with optional chart plotters are part of the standard equipment.

Sail plan with staysail option

The sail plan offers several configurations. A new feature is a flying cutter staysail. It runs on a CXr furler and is set with a 2:1 halyard. A snap hook fixes the sail to a padeye on the deck. The sheet runs directly over the genoa tracks to the secondary winches.

The shipyard recommends the staysail for heavy weather in combination with the second reef in the main. The sail's centre of gravity is then lower and central above the lateral centre of gravity. In better conditions, the staysail also works together with the gennaker as a double headsail. You can choose between a conventional main or furling mast, self-tacking jib or reacher plus gennaker from Elvstrøm.

Anchor equipment

The Cruising Package comes with either a 20-kilogram galvanised Delta anchor and 60 metres of galvanised chain or a 27-kilogram stainless steel Ultra anchor with Ultra swivel and 100 metres of stainless steel chain. The anchor winch runs at 1000 watts or optionally 1500 watts including a mooring drum for a chain thickness of 10 millimetres.

Four fixed cleats with a length of 320 millimetres are included as standard. Two additional cleats amidships are available as an option. Retractable cleats are also available.

Cockpit tables

The standard table offers basic functions. Option XC3004 provides a teak table on the port side and an electrically lowerable table on the starboard side, which can be used as a sun lounger including cushions and cockpit bench extension. Option XC3005 provides two teak tables, both electrically lowerable with cushions and bench extension.
