Together with the Swedish industry association "Sweboat", Hallberg-Rassy is opening the doors to its shipyard for the 31st time in a row this year. The exhibition will take place in the Hallberg-Rassy harbour area in Ellös on the island of Orust in western Sweden. The exhibition runs over the weekend of 23-25 August and admission is free on all three days. The gates open at 10 am on Friday and Saturday, and visitors can look around the harbour and the adjacent halls until 6 pm. On Sunday, the fair also starts at 10 a.m., but closes at 4 p.m.
In addition to the hosts, many other well-known manufacturers are also among the exhibitors every year. This year, there will also be two impressive world premieres to marvel at. Both the Najad 450 CC Next Generation and the Arcona 50 will be on show for the first time. The manufacturers of relevant sailing yacht equipment and even professional brokers bringing high-quality used boats will also be represented at Orust. The hosts around Magnus Rassy will also be showing a large number of well-known models, including the 340, 400, 40C, 44, 50 and 57 in the harbour. The Swedes' new flagship, Rassy's 69, can also be marvelled at. A further 20 yachts are currently under construction and can be viewed according to their production progress.
This year there will also be motorboats on Ellös. For example, the Greenline 40 and the Flemming 65 will be on site. There will also be a separate section with electric boats, with six of them on display.
Experienced blue water sailors Mia Karlsson and Andy Schell will be giving an interesting talk in English on 24 August. Together, the pair have over 200,000 nautical miles in their wake on various yachts. In total, they have crossed the Atlantic 15 times and even travelled to the 80th parallel north on Spitsbergen. Tickets must be purchased in advance for the lecture, which starts at 7 pm. For SEK 520 (approx. € 47), you can enjoy dinner with dessert and drinks, after which the lecture begins.
Karlsson and Schell, who worked together in 2015 on "59º North Sailing" and have been offering offshore sailing training ever since, are also bringing their 65-foot "Falken" to Ellös, which can also be viewed by visitors to the fair.
